Book Nooks

A few months ago I gave my book shelf an overhaul - it had become a black hole of clutter and stuff and things. It looked awful.
Now that everything is fixed up and the books are in place it's still missing something... A book nook!
So I picked up a kit.

After a little reading I found that some booknookers (or whatever you call people who have made a lot of these as a hobby) think that this kit is not beginner friendly.
I guess I'll find out.
So far I've put about 2 hours of work into it. I've got a dozen little pictures framed, the music box installed and some tiny shelves assembled.

There's also one wall partially complete.

There's about 14 books to assemble in this kit, and some Harry Potter banners to hang... I plan on printing out custom covers for the books and replacing the banners.
What books would you include? What would you hang in place of Hogwarts house banners? Let me know!
